We are looking for individuals who will be able to provide and maintain a caring environment for non-emergency patients and provide a transport service as appropriate for the needs of the patient. You will need to be accessible, competent, efficient, helpful and reliable. In order to apply for this role you need a full UK manual car driving licence with minimum of 1 years driving experience. Please note we will consider applications with no more than 3 penalty points on your licence.

The postholder will be responsible for driving or assisting on a non-emergency patient transport ambulance transporting sick, injured or convalescent persons over a 24/7 rota. The postholder will also adhere to company requirements when recording patient journey times by using the provided Mobile data device.

We can offer you an ambulance care assistant training course, First aid at work training, and a full uniform. You would need to be available to attend an 6 working days training course. The training courses have limited places available and will be subject to selection based upon priority business need. If you are not allocated to the next available training course you will be held on the waiting list.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Because of the nature of the work involved in the role of ambulance care assistant you are required to complete a mandatory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. Medical Services operate an enhanced Adult and Children check as we work with all different patients. The cost of this is £56.00 which is deducted in two deductions from wages.

Minimum of 3 years employment history must be stated on the application form for the post you are applying for.
